PLEASE PICK UP YOUR 2008 OFFERING ENVELOPES & STEWARDSHIP PACKETS TODAY

Your 2008 Envelopes are in. Many of you have not yet picked them up.  They are on a table in the Community Center.  Please pick up your envelopes & Stewardship packets today so we can avoid the expense of mailing them.  If you do not find a set of envelopes with your name and you wish to be registered as a member of St. Nicholas, call the church office (422-5600).

Constantine “Gus” Karides (81) passed away on Monday, January 14, 2008.  He is survived by his wife “Goldie”, son James and a large loving family. God rest his soul.

 

THE PHILOPTOCHOS MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE TODAY, FOLLOWING THE COFFEE HOUR.  THE MEETING WILL BE HELD IN THE FR. GEORGE & EVANGELINE PAULSON COMMUNITY CENTER. THERE WILL BE A SPECIAL PRESENTATION BY JOAN REDFEARN AND PAULA DEMOSTHENES ON THE VIRGINIA AQUARIUM STRANDING TEAM.  PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND.  

 

FOOD PANTRY NEEDS DONATIONS

The Food Pantry is very low on food. We have been distributing many bags of food each week. If you would like to make a donation to buy needed supplies, please make out a check to St. Nicholas Pantry & mail it to the office or give it to Buddy Redfearn.

 

BIBLE STUDY RETURNS ON FEBRUARY 19

Bible Study will resume on Tuesday, February 19 at 6:30pm.  Join Fr. Jimmy as he teaches the Book of Mark.

 

ALTAR BEAUTIFICATION DONATIONS

If you wish to donate to the Altar Beautification,  make check out to St. Nicholas Beautification Fund &mail to  the church office.

PLEASE NOTE:  ADVANCE NOTICE FOR PLANNING SERVICES

When planning any services-MEMORIALS OR CHURCHINGS-you must Contact the priest/church office 2 weeks prior to the date, so we may make proper preparations.  For WEDDINGS & BAPTISMS-10 to 12 weeks are necessary for validation & securing proper certificates and registration from the Archdiocese.   CHURCH DIVORCES must be filed & validated by the Archdiocese prior to scheduling a second wedding  (approx 3-4 months).
