WORTHY OF NOTE…..

“CARE” PACKAGES TO IRAQ

The Philoptochos Ladies are going to send “care” packages to the military men on our prayer list.  If you would like to participate in this worthy project, please check out the enclosed list.  If you decide to contribute, please bring your items in by Sunday, March 30th.  Special baskets will be placed in the Narthex, Social Hall and church office for your convenience.  Please help us support our men in uniform with a little bit of “home”.  (If you do not have time to shop but would still like to participate with a cash donation, we will be happy to shop for you.)  Thank you and God bless.

 

LENTEN MEALS SERVED 5:30PM FRIDAYS BEGINNING MARCH 14

Beginning this Friday the “Chefs of St. Nicholas” will provide a Lenten Meal before the Friday night services.  Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 6:20.  Salutation Services will begin at 6:30.

 

2008 COMMUNITY EASTER CARD

If you wish to have your name included in the 2008 St. Nicholas Easter Card, please fill out an application & send it, and your check for $25.00, to the church office.  Forms are in the Narthex

PHILOPTOCHOS EASTER BAKE SALE

Niki Minadakis (422-5600) is taking orders for Easter Bread($6.50) and Koulourakia ($3.00per dozen.)  Orders must be prepaid and placed by March 21.

 

ST NICHOLAS ORATORICAL FESTIVAL MARCH 30

The St. Nicholas Oratorical Festival will take place on Sunday March 30 from 4:00-7:00pm.  Please encourage your children to participate. Dinner will be provided.  See Leslie Ullom for details.

If you wish to donate to the Altar Beautification, make check out to St. Nicholas Beautification Fund &mail to the church office.

 

 

 

 

 

PLEASE NOTE:  ADVANCE NOTICE FOR PLANNING SERVICES

When planning any services-MEMORIALS OR CHURCHINGS-you must Contact the priest/church office 2 weeks prior to the date, so we may make proper preparations.  For WEDDINGS & BAPTISMS-10 to 12 weeks are necessary for validation & securing proper certificates and registration from the Archdiocese.   CHURCH DIVORCES must be filed & validated by the Archdiocese prior to scheduling a second wedding  (approx 3-4 months).

 

 

FOOD PANTRY NEEDS DONATIONS

The Food Pantry is still low on food. We have been distributing many bags of food each week. If you would like to make a donation to buy needed supplies, please make out a check to  St. Nicholas Pantry and mail it to the office.

 

 

EASTER CARD DRAWING FOR ST. NICHOLAS CHILDREN

All St. Nicholas children (Ages 6 to 18) are invited to take part in the Easter Card Drawing.  Two drawings will be selected for the card which will be sent to the members of St. Nicholas.  Forms are on the Narthex table. Return finished drawings to church office.  Deadline is April 6.
